Staffs of the Center have much experienced and energetic Ph.D. and M.Sc., together with team of dynamic and creative engineers and B.Sc. The Center’s main activities include:

     

  • Research in environmental problems of agriculture, fishery, forestry, etc, such as: poisoned chemical, pesticide and heavy metal accumulation in agricultural products, food, soil, water, air, etc.

    •  

  • Research in environmental protection and impact assessment methods. Developing anti-pollution techniques and anti-degradation of environment.

    •  

  • Research to develop environmental pollution control means in aquaculture areas to aim at enhancement of local aquatic resource quality.

    •  

  • Experimental production of biochemical, chemical products accords with in operation decrees to serve environmental protection mission.

    •  

  • Research into organic waste recycling of industry, agriculture and domestic to improve on agriculture, forestry and fishery production.

    •  

  • Research into using of natural organic products to fertilize degrading tillage.

    •  

  • Information on environmental education.

    •  

  • Analyze environmental parameters include:

       

    • Soil: electrical conductivity (EC), pH, hydrolytic acidity, cation exchangeable capacity (CEC), exchangeable cation (such as: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, etc), sulfur, nitrogen, phosphorous, carbon, C/N ratio, aluminum, iron, micronutrient (such as: molybdenum, cobalt, manganese, boron, etc), and heavy metal (such as: arsenic, mercury, lead, etc).

      •  

    • Water: EC, pH, turbidity, acidity, alkalinity, salinity, BOD5, COD, sulfur, nitrogen, phosphorous, chlorine, heavy metal (such as: arsenic, mercury, lead, etc), and microbiology.

      •  

    • Agriculture products: nitrate, fertilizer, pesticide, and microbiology.

      •  

    • Air: sulfide, ammonia, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide, lead, airborne dust, wind velocity/orient, humidity, temperature, etc.

　

Co-operating with United State of America in:

 

 

     

  • Training in new analyze methods for environmental parameter such as: water, soil, plant and air, etc.

    •  

  • Co-research in impacts of herbicide (2,4 D; 2,4,5 T and etc.) that was used Vietnam war.

    •  

  • Training in education of environmental protection program.
